As they ventured deeper into the desert, they encountered Gus the groundhog, who had a tool belt strapped around his stout body and wore a hard hat that never seemed to fall off. He was the mechanical whiz of the group, known for his ability to fix anything from a saguaro’s arm to an owl’s broken perch.
Gus extended a friendly paw to Cactus Freddie and Jennie. “Howdy, folks! I reckon y’all might need a handy friend in the desert. If something breaks or needs fixing, just give ol’ Gus a holler, and I’ll have it patched up in no time.”
Cactus Freddie and Jennie were grateful for Gus’s presence, knowing that they now had a reliable friend to help them in times of need.
